Korean spicy pork belly

If you are a really big fan of Korean food like spicy Korean food, this is the dish you will want to create. This "Korean spicy pork belly will be the best dish you'll ever want to cook so you wouldnt have to go out & spend money. It even tastes better on a dolsot bowl.


Servings- 2 to 4

Prep & cook- 1 hour or overnight 20 minutes


 



Ingredients-

  • 14 slices pork belly

  • 1 tbsp gochujang

  • 1 tsp gochugaru

  • 1 tbsp raw sugar

  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 2 tsp mirin

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 2 tsp light soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil (when cooking) Vegetables-

  • 1 1/2 cup chopped white onions

  • 1 chopped green onions

  • 2 cups Korean rice cakes

Directions-

  1. Put the meat in a big bowl & add the wet ingredients all together & mix them well to marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight. After marinating, cut the pork belly slices in half.

  2. Get the Korean rice cakes put them in a bowl with warm water. Separate the rice cakes (if they are stuck together) & allow them to sit for 10 or 20 mins to soften.

  3. Heat the wok or pan on high heat & add some oil. Add all the prepared ingredients in a pan or wok then stir them together occasionally. Optional sprinkle a little bit of gochugaru flakes on the ingredients even the pork belly. Reduce heat halfway through.

  4. Once theyre cooked, serve them with rice. Or make it into a dolsot with an egg on top!
